Global Internship

INKOMPASS

Start date: Various, across 25+ locations.
Duration: 3 – 12 months depending on location
What to expect: INKOMPASS is PMI’s unique global internship program, which enables you to make a real impact and be part of a transformational journey to #MakeHistory.  You’ll be given the opportunity to work on real business projects, build an international network, and receive personalized feedback and coaching.  Depending on the project scope and expected deliverables, projects may consist of individual or group work.  In any case, you can be sure all projects will be meaningful and challenging and will give you the opportunity to showcase and further develop your skills and be a contributor to the smoke-free future.

Internship Opportunities

Start date: June 2024 
Program duration: 6 months 

What to expect: During this program, you'll gain an insight into our different functions and participate in skills-building workshops and market visits - all of which will provide a solid foundation to kick-start your career. 
Canada
Start date: May 2024 
Program duration: 4 Months

What to expect: This program provides a unique overview of the different areas within a factory environment. You'll work alongside managers to learn our Open+ Methodology.  Depending on the team you join, you could interact with the Quality Assurance team as well as other global teams. 
Columbia
Start date: January 2025 
Program duration: 6 Months 

What to expect: Working within the commercial function, you'll develop a range of skills, including stakeholder management, data-based analysis, reporting, and participating in optimization and improvement projects.

Start date: Various throughout 2024 
Program duration: 6 / 12 months

What to expect: Your learning and development will be tailored to the function and department you join. Initially, you will focus on building an in-depth understanding of a specific department; over time, your scope will grow, and if successful, you could transition into a full-time position at the end of your studies.

Start date: January 2025 
Program duration: 12 months 

What to expect: You’ll gain valuable insight into either the Commercial or Operations business throughout the program.  After an initial induction, you will work closely with colleagues across the business, supporting key projects.  You’ll have lots of opportunities to contribute ideas and develop your communication, problem-solving, and team skills.
Switzerland
Start date: August 2024 & February 2025
Program duration: 6 months 

What to expect: If you are a current student at university requiring work experience as part of your course, we have several exciting opportunities available. The defined timeframes and objectives will be driven by your university and curriculum. You'll receive a global induction and tailored on-the-job development based on the project you are assigned. 

Apprenticeship Opportunities 

Our apprenticeships offer valuable, on-the-job experience, coaching and support and set you up for success. Here's a selection of our current opportunities.

Start date: February 2024
Duration: 18 Months 

What to expect: Embark is our UK-based, 18-month apprenticeship scheme, putting you at the center of driving a smoke-free future for your local community.

This unique, field-based, and sales-focused role will give you the opportunity to earn a Level 4 Sales Executive HNC qualification as you experience a range of areas within our business. You’ll need to effectively manage your own time as we give you the space you need to deliver outstanding results. 

This isn't a one-size-fits-all opportunity. We're looking for people who'll go above and beyond, take learning in their stride, and take responsibility for their own accelerated development.

We want you to use your initiative, adapt and build strong relationships, educate retailers, and manage the expectations of the consumer. We give you the space you need to deliver. 



Swiss Apprenticeship
Start date: August 2024
Duration: 24 Months 

What to expect: Irrespective of which function you join, you will participate in projects with a real impact and help us explore this new commercial territory.  This is the perfect opportunity to kick-start your career. 

Your work will vary according to the field of activity of the different departments (Operations Training, General Services, Human Resources, Import-Export, and Logistics).
